The short version: when you buy gear through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and it never changes which product we recommend.

Amazon Associates

Blaze & Budget is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Most of the buy links on this site point to Amazon.

Other affiliate programs

We also participate in a small number of other affiliate networks and may add brand-direct programs over time (for example, hunting brands whose gear we recommend). Where a link earns us a commission it works the same way — a small fee from the retailer, nothing added to your price. We only ever link a program we have actually joined; we do not wire tracking to programs we’re not part of.

How prices and links work

• Prices shown are pulled from the retailer and dated on the page. They change; the retailer’s checkout price is always the final word. When we can’t verify a current price, we show “Check price” rather than a stale number.
• Our buy links carry the standard rel="sponsored nofollow" tags and open in a new tab, and outbound clicks route through a link handler that applies our affiliate tag.
• Every commercial page carries this disclosure above its first buy link, so you always know before you click.

Commissions never change our rankings

This is the important part. Our rankings are built on published specs and live prices, with the full method on how we rank. A product that pays us more does not get ranked higher, and when the cheaper option is the better buy, that’s the one we recommend — even though it earns us less. We accept no sponsorships and no free products in exchange for coverage, as stated in our editorial policy.
